Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Product Designer to join our Center for Technology Excellence team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing and developing new biscuit products, from concept visualization to mould creation, and will also contribute to the design of manufacturing plant and machinery. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Marketing Department to understand product briefs and translate consumer insights into innovative biscuit designs.
Visualize and conceptualize new biscuit product designs, creating detailed drawings using software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArtCAM, and VisualMill.
Convert approved product designs into precise moulds, utilizing advanced design software and techniques.
Operate 3D printers to create prototypes of biscuit moulds for testing and refinement before large-scale commercial production.
Provide design and development support for the plant and machinery used in the manufacturing process of biscuits on the production line.
Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Marketing, and R&D, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing to ensure seamless project execution.
Stay abreast of the latest technologies and advancements in design and development, actively seeking opportunities for continuous learning and process improvement.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Design, Production Management, or a related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the design and development of moulds and machinery, preferably within the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArtCAM, and VisualMill. Experience with 3D printing for mould creation is essential.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Location

This position is based at our Center for Technology Excellence, located at Bidadi on the outskirts of Bangalore City, India.
