Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.
Within CSCP, the Spares Supply Chain organization is reinventing and transforming the cloud service parts supply chain. Responsibilities
- In this role you are required to develop BI solutions to measure and scale Spares Supply Chain business
- Ability to navigate highly matrixed organization to commit to deliverables, due dates, and clear accountability for action follow up
- Drives clear, compelling, actionable, well-timed insights through storytelling, visualizations, and other tools that influence product/service improvements that yield customer/business value
- Architect, design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable solutions for analysis of complex and ever-growing data
- Partner with business stakeholders, PMs, Engineers, and other Data Scientists to understand business context, identify opportunities, translate business needs into analytical and technical requirements, and deploy solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, back-end, and front-end services for reporting, monitoring, analysis, and related functions.
- Accountable for high quality analytics & visualizations that drive business impact & positive outcomes. Provide clear, effective, and timely communications
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to non-technical audiences
- Maintain flexibility with regard to work hours to support worldwide communications as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Analytics or business
- 5+ years of software design and programming experience with languages like C/C++/C#/Java/Python/JavaScript libraries required
- 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain Product Data operations & management
- Must have design and development experience in Power BI, Excel, data analytics; reporting tools
- Should be proficient in SQL query building, or other databases management
- Experience in developing Big Data applications in the cloud using technologies such as Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse or similar.
- Experience in Data Science, with hands-on exposure to Generative AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or AutoGen. Familiarity with prompt engineering, model deployment, and AI governance frameworks is preferred.
- Ability to manage numerous competing priorities in a flexible and fast-paced environment
- Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams
- Problem-solving capability
- Ability to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication, organization, and time-management skills with high attention to detail
- Analytical aptitude while able to maintain a broader perspective, identifies and evaluates opportunities to enhance the business through cross-group collaboration
- Experience working on Data Engineering workload
- Knowledge of working in cloud-computing environment - Azure preferred
- Experience in DevOps
- Experience in High-tech Supply Chain, Reverse Logistics, or Service Parts industry is a plus

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
