Brand Identity Designer (Freelance)

A mindfulness and textiles teacher/designer is seeking a brand designer to rethink and develop the visual identity for a new startup. The project centers on upcycling kits and workshops that integrate mindfulness practices, targeting individuals, schools, workplaces, and community groups through a CIC initiative. The goal is to create a brand identity that feels calm and gentle while remaining engaging and approachable. This includes logo design and visual assets that convey both creativity and tranquility. The role is scoped as a single job but has strong potential for ongoing collaboration as the project evolves.

Deliverables

• Develop a refreshed brand identity aligned with mindfulness and sustainability values.
• Create a new logo that reflects creativity, calmness, and accessibility.
• Design supporting visual assets, including typography, color palettes, and imagery guidelines.
• Ensure the aesthetic works across digital and print applications, including workshops and community programs.
• Provide brand guidelines for consistent application across platforms.

Requirements

• Experience in brand design with a portfolio demonstrating work in wellness, education, or creative industries preferred.
• Strong skills in logo design, visual storytelling, and cohesive identity development.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
• Ability to balance minimal, calming aesthetics with engaging, contemporary design elements.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate on refining vision and values into visuals.
• Capacity to deliver within agreed timelines and adapt to potential follow-up needs.
