Position: Senior Director / Vice President – Business Development (UAEN)

About the Role

Our client, a prestigious Government Entity, is seeking a seasoned Senior Director / Vice President – Business Development to spearhead growth strategies, drive strategic partnerships, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This is a senior leadership role for a proven Emirati executive with over a decade of experience in free zone entities or the financial services sector, capable of shaping policy-level initiatives and driving long-term sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement business development strategies to achieve year-on-year growth targets in alignment with the entity’s vision.
  • Lead high-level negotiations and secure multi-million-dirham strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.
  • Expand the entity’s portfolio of services, investors, and partners to strengthen its market positioning across UAE and GCC.
  • Develop and oversee frameworks for revenue generation, diversification, and investment attraction.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring business units achieve financial and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with government stakeholders, regulators, and industry leaders to influence market development and policy.
  • Provide executive leadership to cross-functional teams, embedding a culture of innovation, accountability, and results.
  • Monitor market intelligence, competitor strategies, and emerging trends to anticipate risks and capture opportunities.
  • Represent the entity at major international forums, conferences, and financial summits, enhancing visibility and strategic influence.
  • Report directly to the C-suite/Board with actionable insights, forecasts, and growth strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in business development, strategy, or growth roles.
  • Strong track record in free zones or financial services, with measurable contributions to revenue, partnerships, or market expansion.
  • Proven success in leading large teams and managing multimillion-dirham budgets.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Visionary leader with a strategic mindset and execution excellence.
