Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Title: AI Solution Architect

Duration:3+ months of Contract with possible extension of hire

Location: Toronto, ON(onsite from Day 1)

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and deliver scalable AI solutions using Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Lead the design and deployment of Generative AI models for document summarization, classification, and intelligent search.
• Implement OCR pipelines using Azure Form Recognizer, Computer Vision, or third-party tools to extract structured data from scanned documents and images.
• Integrate AI workflows with Oracle Database systems for secure and efficient data storage, retrieval, and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define solution requirements and success metrics.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and data privacy standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with at least 3 years in Azure cloud.
• Proven expertise in Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI, Form Recognizer, and Azure ML.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI APIs).
• Strong understanding of OCR technologies and document processing workflows.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with Oracle DB and other enterprise data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and RESTful API design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, AKS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and MLOps best practices.
• Certifications in Azure AI or Solution Architecture are a plus.
