Intern - UX Frontend Designer:

We are looking to bring onboard a UX designer for a 12 week internship program; this program will provide an opportunity to actually deliver value and outcomes implemented into a live business operation. This role is not for coffee-getters, note takers, or meeting attenders, we're looking for those ready to DO and make a mark!

The UX Designer will craft intuitive and user-friendly experiences for Varmodel’s web and mobile application platform(s). In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design of functional wireframes, prototypes, and user flows, ensuring seamless navigation across devices. Collaborating business stakeholders and software developers, this role will refine designs based on user research and testing. To ensure alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and accessibility, enhancing overall user engagement.

1. Website Wireframes & Interactive Model

• Design low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes for the Varmodel website, ensuring a clear and user-friendly layout.
• Develop an interactive prototype to simulate key user journeys and functionalities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure the wireframes align with business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Adhere to responsive design principles, ensuring an optimal experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile views.
• Document user flows and interaction models for developers and stakeholders.

2. Mobile Wireframes & Experience Design

• Create mobile wireframes for the Varmodel mobile-on-web version and ensure seamless usability across devices.
• Define navigation patterns, information architecture, and UI elements to enhance the mobile user experience.
• Ensure consistency between the mobile and website wireframes while optimizing for mobile-specific interactions.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback.

3. Interactive & Functional Prototype Development

• Build an interactive prototype using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar to demonstrate the full user experience.
• Work closely with developers to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to implementation.
• Test interactions to ensure intuitive navigation and seamless user flows.
• Maintain version control and documentation of UX decisions for future iterations.

4. User-Centered Approach & Testing

• Conduct user research to understand customer pain points and expectations.
• Perform A/B testing and usability tests to validate design decisions.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders, users, and internal teams to refine designs.

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Work alongside UI designers, developers, and product managers to align UX goals with technical feasibility.
• Present and explain UX decisions to stakeholders and advocate for best practices.
• Ensure UX guidelines are well-documented and followed throughout the development cycle.
