Job Description

One of our large retail clients is looking for a Scrum Master to join their team. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Scrum best practices, and support the successful delivery of key data and analytics initiatives. This role is part of a Global Data Engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) team and is instrumental in enabling high-performing Agile teams, removing delivery roadblocks, and ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Agile frameworks, is confident working with cross-functional teams, and is passionate about team success and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure well-defined backlogs, clear priorities, and shared understanding of goals.
  • Track and communicate team metrics, delivery progress, and potential risks to stakeholders.
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from outside distractions to maintain a focused and productive environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging retrospectives and actioning feedback.
  • Mentor team members and coach stakeholders on Agile principles, values, and frameworks.
  • Coordinate across teams and functions to align dependencies and ensure successful program delivery.
  • Support Agile transformation efforts by championing best practices and scalable Agile processes.

Skills And Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technical or data-driven environment.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional Agile teams, ideally within data engineering or BI domains.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, etc.).
  • Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and aligning delivery with strategic goals.
  • A growth mindset with a passion for improving team dynamics and delivery outcomes.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification required. - Familiarity with Scaled Agile Frameworks (e.g., SAFe) is a plus
  • Knowledge of BI, Data Warehousing, or Data Engineering environments is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in an agile environment null
