Job Summary (Role Purpose):
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications developed using Document Management Systems (DMS), SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and the Power Platform. This role includes full-cycle application operations, technical documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
The specialist plays a key role in designing and delivering technical solutions, focusing on usability, scalability, and integration with other health information systems, in alignment with PHCC’s mission of delivering comprehensive and person-centered healthcare.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Application & Process Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production support of applications built on DMS, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.
- Manage the end-to-end product operations lifecycle.
- Take ownership of knowledge transfer (KT) and onboarding of production applications and services (primarily in .NET and Azure environments).
- Monitor application performance and configure alerts for system anomalies.
- Execute both automated and manual deployments for system updates and enhancements.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into software solutions through consultations with stakeholders and IT management.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, using both out-of-the-box and custom development approaches.
- Create and maintain wireframes, flow diagrams, technical documentation, and test plans.
- Develop reusable components such as web parts, forms, templates, and master pages.
Innovation & Best Practices
- Learn and adopt new tools and development techniques to enhance system performance.
- Apply industry best practices and standards for security, scalability, and maintainability.
Patient Safety & Compliance
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to patient safety and risk identification.
- Comply with patient safety policies, protocols, and reporting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with managers to mitigate technical risks and improve application reliability.
Documentation & Confidentiality
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, system specifications, user manuals, and test cases.
- Ensure all systems comply with confidentiality and data protection policies.
Other Duties
- Perform any additional duties related to the role as directed by the line manager or ICT leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Relevant certifications in SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role involving enterprise application support and development.
- Experience with data integration and data conversions is highly preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare IT environments is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and .NET/Azure environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in technical documentation and requirements gathering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Understanding of business process modeling and optimization.
- Strong sense of confidentiality, responsibility, and accountability.
