The BCA EU business is now at an exciting turning point in their ambitions for how data can enhance their customer proposition. This role is part of a significant investment in strengthen the Decision Intelligence capability in the EU business, through a continuous development and maintenance of the Data Warehouse, expanding our use of Data Science & Machine learning solutions, developing new dashboards and fostering the adoption of these tools by the business users, promoting efficiencies and generating added value.

Role Accountabilities:

• Develop proofs of concept to illustrate how a business request/ need might be addressed, through the usage of the relevant data sources, applying the necessary data transformations and constituting PowerBI reports
• Perform the adequate data transformation and analysis to deliver ad-hoc requests from the business areas, accessing data from the data warehouse or other available sources and building the final data deliverable
• Work together with the other EU analysts to develop understanding of what new data capabilities will deliver the highest returns for the several business teams including:
• Develop specification of the new data integration / reports / data science models would be required & document within DevOps system
• Work with relevant reporting / data warehouse / data science teams
• Present finished output to users and collate their feedback for any required updates
• Explain the implications of analytical outcomes to business stakeholders in an easy-to-understand way, and help them understand the changes required to the business processes to drive improvements in business results
• Proactive identification of new opportunities to leverage data for business advantage in the several business functions
• Work with the BCA reporting team to create simple to understand reporting dashboards to enable effective operations usage of analytical outputs

Knowledge and Experience:

• Extensive expertise in using data to drive improvements in several business functions
• Desirable knowledge of automotive market and relevant industry metrics
• Experience of using SQL to extract and transform data from data warehouses
• Experience of building reports and dashboards in PowerBI and / or other tools
• Advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint to report data to stakeholders
• Previous usage of R and/ or Python to analyse data would be beneficial (but not required)
• Management of backlogs using DevOps or other Kanban board tool
