Senior Software Engineer

The purpose & position.

You'll work as part of a cross-functional engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of modern backend systems. You'll also collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and other developers across regions.

The team is also set to kick off a number of major cloud transformation initiatives in the new year, providing a great opportunity to work on greenfield architecture and scalable infrastructure.

Senior Software Engineer - Global Insurance Company - Long-term day rate contract - North Sydney City Location - 1/2 day in office per week.

Contract length: 6 months initial with the view to extend.
Day rate: $1,100 - 1,200 p/d inclusive of super.
Location: North Sydney CBD.
Hybrid Working arrangement: 1/2 day in office per week - typically 1.

Experience required:

• 7+ Years experience in Software Engineering/Software Development - involvement in solution design, mentoring and leading other junior engineers.
• Strong in Java + Spring/SpringBoot.
• Strong API/integration experience.
• Web development experience (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• DevOps/Cloud experience - AWS/Azure & Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with OWASP.
