Job Title: Project Manager (IT & Technical)

Job duration: 6 months with possible extension

Location: Brussels (most come several days/weeks to BRUSSEL BOREAL)

Introduction

We are launching a data-driven, results-oriented program to enhance internal IT uptime. This cross-functional initiative spans the full delivery lifecycle, development, testing, and implementation.

Covering operation models, applications and infrastructure, and involves multiple teams and stakeholders.

We are seeking a highly reliable, hands-on Project Manager to lead this initiative. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional who understands strategic objectives while being ready to dive into operational and technical details to ensure successful execution. Strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and outstanding communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the initiative backlog and roadmap.

Launch and coordinate cross-functional working groups, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.

Define and monitor quality criteria to ensure outcomes deliver expected value.

Facilitate program enablers such as dashboards, reporting, and analytics.

Oversee development, provisioning, or procurement of required tools, including requirements definition and RFQs.

Organize and lead tactical governance meetings and prepare materials for Steering Committees.

Drive communication and change management activities.

Align resources within a matrix-based organization.

Track progress, manage risks, and adapt plans as needed.

Report status to stakeholders, including senior management.

Prepare clear, concise documentation and reports using tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.

Actively support delivery teams in execution, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and issue resolution.

Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure end-to-end delivery.

Set up and operationalize dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track progress and value realization.

Ensure all deliverables contribute to measurable improvements in uptime.

Skills & Qualifications

Project Management: 10+ years of experience managing complex, multi-stream initiatives with multiple working groups.

IT Expertise: 5+ years in internal IT environments with solid understanding of IT operations, asset lifecycle, key metrics, and application architecture.

Methodologies: Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-changing environment.

Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis skills, including defining metrics, identifying data sources, and deriving insights from statistical results.

Advanced Analytics: Understanding of AI, big data, and advanced analytics capabilities.

Information Handling: Skilled at synthesizing information from structured and unstructured sources.

Visualization: Ability to present complex projects in simple, one-page visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
