What You’ll Be Doing

• Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams to define and solve complex problems for our customers, professionals, and the business.
• Designing elegant, intuitive solutions that make booking a service feel effortless. This includes everything from wireframing and user flows to pixel-perfect prototypes for iOS, Android, and web.
• Researching and understanding user needs across different markets as we continue our expansion, turning insights into features that make life easier.
• Working hand-in-hand with our leadership team to implement your vision, and clearly presenting your work and rationale in design reviews.
• Analysing the performance of new features after launch, identifying key learnings, and iterating to constantly improve the OSCAR experience.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience designing exceptional, complex consumer apps in-house.
• A strong portfolio that showcases your product design work, your process, and your ability to simplify complex user journeys.
• The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate the "why" behind your design decisions.
• A solid grasp of the technical implications of your design choices and the ability to work effectively with engineers.
• The drive to take full ownership of the design process, working as a self-directed and proactive member of the development team.
• A powerful focus on UX and a deep empathy for the user and their real-world context.
• A clean, modern visual design sense, with a great eye for detail.
• You love a good challenge and are a natural problem-solver.

Nice to Have

• Experience with on-demand service or marketplace platforms.
• The ability to code simple, interactive prototypes to better communicate ideas.
• Experience designing and maintaining cross-platform design systems.
• Previous experience thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
