What We Are Looking For

AvantStay is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to help shape the future of short-term rentals. As part of our team, you'll build the software that powers both guest experiences and the internal systems behind the scenes. You'll need a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and a hacker's mindset — someone who can architect long-term solutions, but also move fast to test and iterate on new ideas.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deliver front-end systems that power thousands of real guest experiences daily
• Work across the stack — from customer-facing features to internal systems
• Rapidly prototype new ideas to validate opportunities and drive innovation
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to solve cross-functional problems
• Write high quality code that serves its purpose well
• Review code and engage peers to focus on technical quality and pragmatic decision-making
• Participate in the full development lifecycle — from ideation to post-launch support
• Help shape our engineering culture and technical direction
  
  

Requirements

Must Have:

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript - you can build with confidence and speed
• You know frameworks and tools we use : React, React Native, Next.js, MobX
• You have demonstrated experience building complex systems that have stood the test of time
• You are empathetic to users. You own your solutions and care deeply about the user experience
• You can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
  

Nice-to-Have:

• Genuine curiosity about how AI can shape the future of front-end development
• Understanding fundamentals of the backend and data will be a strong plus. We use Node.js, Scala, Python, Apollo, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Clickhouse
• Just as comfortable hacking together a prototype as designing a production-ready service
• Experience working in or building your own startup is a strong plus
