The Opportunity

We offer a one-year, full-time, and paid internship, giving you time to dive into the OpenText culture and vision, to learn from our senior colleagues, to have fun and to discover our self-managed communities of IT experts.

Your Impact

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn how to use our internal project management systems (Agile/Scrum methodologies) and to gain real experience as a programmer in a global company focused on quality, innovative vision, and always stay up to date with the latest industry requirements.You will learn to design, discuss, clarify, and implement project requirements and to develop your programming skills.

What The Role Offers

As part of this role, you may be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Developing and enhancing our current products;
• Participates in planning, designing and creating new features and services;
• Working smoothly with local and remote multi-geo R&D and non-R&D teams, while keeping high visibility and effective communication;
• Working according to high execution standards, while adhering to project goals and ensuring high quality.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Relevant studies with a focus and passion on computer science, IT, engineering, and technology;
• Knowledge/desire to mainly work with the following technologies: Java, JavaScript (back-end)/NodeJS, Docker, and others,
• Good knowledge of algorithms;
• General knowledge about Object Oriented Programming (theoretical concepts);
• Analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset;
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English;
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Java 11 core as primary platform
• React, Ext.JS as UI frameworks
• Gradle as build tools
• PostgreSQL as database engine
• MyBatis as persistent framework
• Jenkins and Gitlab CI as CI tools
• Junit 4 and 5 as unit test platforms
• Jersey Framework for REST API development
