Strengthen Industrial Cybersecurity Where It Matters Most
Looking for a role where your cybersecurity expertise directly impacts the safety and resilience of critical infrastructure? This hands-on opportunity puts you at the core of industrial engineering projects — helping to secure real-world systems in complex environments.
About the Company
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking engineering department that thrives on teamwork and technical depth. From brownfield upgrades to greenfield developments, their engineers are involved in every phase — design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Expect to work across disciplines in a collaborative setting where your cybersecurity expertise directly shapes industrial safety and reliability.
What Will You Do?
As Cybersecurity Engineer, your mission is to embed industrial-grade cybersecurity practices into control systems and engineering projects. You’ll be safeguarding critical infrastructure in sectors like energy, chemicals, and manufacturing — all while partnering with other engineers to:
- Review system architecture for cybersecurity vulnerabilities
- Implement secure access controls across PLC, SCADA, and DCS environments
- Evaluate vendor-supplied equipment for compliance and readiness
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Harden protocols, manage network segmentation, and lock down OT assets
- Ensure safe and secure integration of instrumentation packages during project delivery
What Do You Bring?
You’re not just ticking boxes — you know how to translate cybersecurity theory into industrial practice. Ideally, you have:
- Experience with ICS/SCADA/PLC/DCS in OT or engineering settings
- Know-how in setting up firewalls, DMZs, and access control systems
- Skills in running risk assessments on control networks and packaged systems
- Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, or similar standards
- Proficiency with tools like Wireshark, Nessus, or Snort
- Bonus: Experience using Kali Linux
What Do You Get in Return?
- Competitive salary: €5.688 – €6.000 per month
- Annual bonus and holiday pay
- 25 vacation days for a healthy work-life balance
- Commuting allowance
- Strong pension plan
- Opportunity to work on high-impact, technically challenging projects
- Supportive and technically skilled team environment
