About the Role

You’ll be the guardian of our platform and the architect of our security posture. Your mission: ship reliable AI products quickly without compromising security or compliance. You’ll partner with product and engineering to deliver secure-by-default, paved-path infrastructure that scales with enterprise demands.

Responsibilities

Platform & Deployment Speed

• Cloud Infra (GCP/Azure): Design & operate orgs/projects, VPC/VNet, WAF/CDN/DNS, private networking, and cost controls.
• Containers: Run services on Cloud Run/Azure Container Apps; scale to GKE/AKS when complexity demands.
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions): Own the release lifecycle—trunk-based flows, smoke tests, blue-green/canary, artifact signing, automated rollbacks.
• Data Layer: Operate Postgres (pgvector), Redis, queues, and object storage with backups and performance baselines.
• Developer Velocity: Ephemeral environments, golden templates, and self-service deploys to keep PR-to-prod times low.

Security & Compliance (Security-First)

• Identity: Enterprise SSO (OIDC/SAML), SCIM, strong RBAC/ABAC, license enforcement.
• Secrets & Crypto: Secret Manager/Vault + KMS; encryption in transit & at rest; key rotation.
• Supply Chain Security: SBOM, dependency & container scanning, IaC policy checks, image signing (e.g., cosign), SLSA-aligned pipelines.
• Audit & Trust: Centralized logs, audit taxonomies, evidence automation; drive SOC 2 controls; support GDPR/PDPL.
• Customer Assurance: Respond to security questionnaires and diligence with crisp, credible documentation.

Reliability & Operations

• Observability: OpenTelemetry tracing, metrics, and logs; SLOs/error budgets; dashboards & alerts that reduce noise.
• Incidents: Lead response, run blameless postmortems, track actions to closure.
• Resilience: Backups, DR/BCP, tested restores; clear RPO/RTO targets.
• Docs: Architecture diagrams, runbooks, and customer-facing trust docs.

Architecture & Scale

• Multi-Tenant: Strong isolation (networking + data), per-tenant quotas/limits, safe migrations.
• Progressive Delivery: Feature flags, staged rollouts, and blast-radius controls.
• AI/ML Infra (Nice to have): GPU efficiency, model serving pipelines, cost/perf optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–10+ years in Platform/SRE/Security Engineering with production GCP or Azure.
• Proven Wins (2+ of): Enterprise SSO/SAML, multi-tenant RBAC, comprehensive audit logging, IaC at scale, full observability stacks.
• Tech: Terraform/Bicep/CDK; GitHub Actions; Cloud Run/Container Apps; GKE/AKS; Postgres (pgvector), Redis; Cloudflare/Azure Front Door/WAF & DNS.
• Security Mindset: Pragmatic, automation-first; policy-as-code, scanning, least-privilege, zero-trust networking.
• Communication: Clear written/verbal skills; can explain complex tradeoffs to diverse audiences.
• Education: CS/IT degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
