Technical Team Lead

About the Role 

We’re looking for a Team Lead who can balance hands-on coding with technical project management. You’ll lead by example — writing clean, scalable code while also keeping the team focused, motivated, and aligned to sprint goals. 

This role requires someone who not only understands the technical vibe of the codebase but can also accelerate team velocity by removing blockers, managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery. What You’ll Do 

• Lead a team of engineers through sprints, ensuring tasks are executed on time with high quality. 
• Write and review code — setting technical standards and ensuring best practices are followed. 
• Collaborate with Product, QA and Business Analysts to break down requirements into clear, actionable tasks. 
• Track progress in Jira (or equivalent), ensuring stories are properly defined, estimated and delivered. 
• Identify blockers early, resolve them quickly and keep the team’s velocity high. 
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement. 
• Mentor team members, helping them grow technically and professionally. 
• Balance hands-on coding with project management responsibilities, ensuring alignment between technical execution and business goals. 
• Drive sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and ensure Agile practices are followed. 

What You Bring 

• 6+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role. 
• Strong hands-on coding skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar stack). 
• Experience in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management. 
• Proven ability to manage technical projects — aligning delivery with deadlines while maintaining code quality. 
• Strong understanding of team dynamics and developer velocity — you know how to accelerate execution without burning people out. 
• Excellent communication skills — able to collaborate across engineering, QA, and product teams. 
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize and focus on impact.
