We’re looking for a skilled Android Engineer to help shape the future of Capital One Travel by building modern, high-performing mobile experiences. In this role, you’ll work with a talented team to deliver intuitive and impactful features, leveraging Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to bring ideas to life.

You’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure a seamless customer journey. Along the way, you’ll contribute to architectural discussions, mentor peers, and champion engineering best practices that raise the bar for quality and performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and deliver advanced Android features using modern tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create simple, engaging customer experiences.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and deliver work that meets the highest standards.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in Android development practices.
• Drive improvements in processes, code quality, and team collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships).
• 2+ years of experience building native Android applications.
• 2+ years of experience with Kotlin.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience building Android applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Kotlin.
• 1+ year of experience with Jetpack Compose.
• 1+ year of experience with open-source frameworks.
• 1+ year of experience working in Agile environments.
