Network Engineer

Role Overview

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade edge network infrastructure. With a focus on implementing and optimizing Cisco wireless and SD-WAN solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco wireless LAN controllers, access points, and related infrastructure.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki) solutions across distributed environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, escalating complex problems to the Network Architect or vendors as needed.
• Assist in the rollout of hybrid-WAN and performance optimization strategies.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support solution delivery and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Participate in on-site and remote client engagements to support solution deployment and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless technologies (WLCs, APs, Prime Infrastructure, DNA Center).
• Strong understanding of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki), including policy configuration and performance monitoring.
• Hands on experience with VXLAN
• Solid grasp of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Familiarity with network security principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, NAC).
• Experience working in high-availability, fault-tolerant environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA Wireless, CCNP Enterprise, or SD-WAN Specialist.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and network automation tools.
