PHP Developer

We're working with a fast-growing SaaS company based in Ghent is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join their engineering team. Their platform, a retail-focused SaaS solution, is actively used by hundreds of businesses across the Benelux region, helping retailers streamline operations, optimize sales, and gain better insights into their performance.

Having recently secured new funding, they are entering an exciting phase of product development - integrating AI-powered features into their existing application. These enhancements aim to deliver smarter analytics and predictive insights to the product.

You will be key in building back-end services and APIs using PHP/Laravel. You'll also play an important part in shaping the architecture that will support upcoming AI integrations. Collaboration with the front-end and product teams will be essential to ensure a smoother user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core functionality of the retail SaaS platform using PHP and Laravel.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of new AI-driven modules and features.
• Build and maintain secure APIs to support web and mobile interfaces.
• Optimize application performance and reliability.
• Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and AI/ML engineers to ensure feature integration.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in PHP with a focus on the Laravel framework.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and server-side architecture.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and performance optimization.
• Ability to write clean and testable code.
• Passion for building user-centric web applications.
• Skills in Vue.js and JavaScript would be a plus.
• Dutch-speaking would be ideal.
