Back-end Developer (Kotlin / Java)

100% remote / PJ / Full time

Must have skills:


  • English: Upper-Intermediate (Important).
  • Programming Languages (+3 years): Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java.
  • Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and debug issues.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs / GraphQL and microservices architecture. Experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable services.
  • Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Version Control: Understanding of Git and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience with Data technologies like Databricks, Spark and/or EMR (AWS).
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and IAAC (Infrastructure as a Code).


Nice-to-Have Skills:


  • Experience in other modern programming languages: Python, Node.js (TypeScript) and Ruby on Rails.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with Databricks.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with integrating third-party vendor systems.


Soft Skills:


  • Ability to work effectively within a team, especially cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in code quality and system integration.
