Role Overview


We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Network Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our organization’s wired and wireless network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, availability, and security while supporting business operations and future scalability. This role requires hands-on experience with configuring and maintaining network devices, implementing robust security measures, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and providing proactive capacity planning. The Network Administrator will also work closely with IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with overall IT operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Network Configuration & Management

    • Configure, manage, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions.

    • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and scalability of network services.

  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization

    • Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools and proactively address latency, downtime, or bottlenecks.

    • Optimize network resources for peak efficiency and ensure minimal disruptions.

  • Network Security & Compliance

    • Implement and enforce network security policies, access controls, and firewall rules.

    • Regularly update firmware, patch vulnerabilities, and safeguard against internal and external threats.

    • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on intrusion detection and incident response.

  • Troubleshooting & Support

    • Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity, hardware, and infrastructure issues.

    • Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support for escalated network-related incidents.

  • Audit, Documentation & Capacity Planning

    • Conduct routine audits of network infrastructure and maintain detailed documentation of configurations and processes.

    • Perform capacity planning to anticipate future growth and recommend upgrades where necessary.

  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

    • Work closely with IT support, system administrators, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure network solutions.

    • Research and evaluate new networking technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.








Requirements


Qualifications


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.

  • Strong expertise with Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper network devices.

  • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs) and enterprise-level infrastructure.

  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent vendor certifications).

  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) is an asset.
