Senior Data Engineer

I have a brand new contract role (6 month initial) with a financial services client of mine based in Galway. This will be paying up to €500 per day.


Key Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and building software systems
  • Deep familiarity with modern database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle)
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, Python preferred
  • Solid experience with cloud ecosystems, AWS preferred
  • Expertise in developing scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Terraform)
  • Understanding of messaging and queuing systems (e.g., SQS, SNS, Artemis MQ)
  • Experience with job orchestration and batch processing tools (e.g., Control-M, AWS Batch)
