Financial Data Analyst

Join a dynamic and passionate “Performance & Financial Controlling” department, where your analytical skills and strategic mindset will directly contribute to the company’s financial health and profitability. As a financial data analyst, you will partner with business leaders across departments (Product, Sales, Technical, HR, Customer Care, Delivery, etc.) to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.

Your role will encompass financial reporting, insightful analysis, business case validation, revenue and cost control, and medium- to long-term budget planning. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and processes in the department. This position offers exposure to various business segments (Cloud, IT Outsourcing, Business Applications, Network, Cybersecurity, and Telecommunications).

Your detailed Mission:

Monthly closing and forecasting activities:

• Prepare and analyze the financial performance of the covered line of business
• Perform financial reconciliations and ensure data quality across systems
• Deliver multi-dimensional analysis per product and variance explanations through collaboration with business teams
• Collaborate with Accounting for provisions
• Build rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and multi-year plans

Project and business case controlling:

• Review and validate business cases for new initiatives/products/business opportunities
• Prepare strategic papers for Executive approval
• Identify cost-saving and revenue growth opportunities

Reporting, procedures and automation:

• Develop and automate reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SAS, SQL and working with the Internal BI team
• Improve data quality and simplify reporting methodologies
• Document procedures, management rules, and train non-financial teams
• Drive and coordinate change across non-financial teams

Your profile:

We are looking for a highly educated professional (Master’s degree or equivalent, Bac +5) with a strong command of French and English. You should have 3+ years of experience in data and financial analysis, ideally with a background in strategy/management/process improvement gained in a consulting firm.

Required knowledge and skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage non-financial stakeholders and lead workshops
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven approach with a desire for simplification
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, look-up) and SQL/database query
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and result-oriented mindset
• Solid understanding of finance and data analytics; interest in ICT/high-tech is a plus
