Job Summary

The Developer (Oracle Retail POS) will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software programs and applications, primarily focusing on Oracle Retail Point of Service (POS) systems. This role ensures software solutions meet client requirements, adhere to quality assurance standards, and are optimized for performance and usability. The developer will analyze client needs, translate them into feasible designs, perform coding, debugging, and process automation, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements and convert them into effective software designs.
• Develop software solutions by studying system flows, data usage, and work processes.
• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and modification of applications.
• Ensure software performance, scalability, and compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, system analysts, and functional teams.
• Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and implement improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, and status updates.
• Maintain ongoing client communication and provide timely responses to requests.
• Ensure smooth deployment, usability, and serviceability at client end.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3–6 years of hands-on software development experience (POS domain preferred).
• Strong experience with Oracle Retail POS (Point of Service) – mandatory.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Strong coding, debugging, and testing skills.
• Knowledge of system performance optimization and root cause analysis.
• Ability to create technical documentation, flowcharts, and reports.
• Excellent communication, customer focus, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
