Freelance Visual Designer
role at
The Mobile-First Company
About The Mobile-First Company
Most tools for small businesses weren't built for real operators.
They were built for employees in offices, not people running a business from their phone.
We're changing that.
We build
mobile-first business software
that feels like a consumer app, runs on AI, and spreads like a creator brand.
Our first product, Allô, gives you a second number on your phone, answers missed calls with AI, transcribes everything, and syncs it to your CRM.
Over 20,000 businesses use it every day.
Next up: expenses, invoicing, and more.
We've raised
+5 million dollars
from Lightspeed, EMBLEM, and 30+ top operators.
Our team is based in
Paris, Buenos Aires
,
Miami
What you'll do
Lead design execution on Allô Desktop & web apps
Partner with Product to create experiences that meet business goals
Evolve and extend existing UI to solve new design challenges
Provide direction and feedback to internal and external creative talent
Collaborate with the Founding Designer to implement company vision
What you'll be working on
Designing desktop interfaces with a focus on UX and motion
Advanced understanding of typography, composition, and Desktop layouts
Ability to develop creative concepts independently
Strong eye for detail and consistency across projects
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Understanding of product strategy and business objectives
Experience working with a fast-paced startup environment
History of successful cross-functional collaboration
What we're looking for
UI craft
Excellent command layout and composition to build slick, minimalistic interfaces
Experience designing desktop (and mobile) interfaces with strong attention to detail
Ability to work within a brand system and expand it thoughtfully in product UI
Sensory and interactive design
Confident in exploring and proposing unique concepts that go beyond static visuals
Skilled at using motion, sound, haptics, and other interactive technologies to enhance usability and delight
Able to bring personality and depth to the product
Quality assurance
You build things that you're proud to show off
Details matter - nothing goes live if you don't approve it
Collaboration and thinking
You ask the right questions and push for clarity
You're a reliable creative partner who works well with product, growth, and content teams
Way of working
You're autonomous, responsive, and proactive
You communicate clearly and iterate fast
You're used to working with fast teams and evolving briefs
What matters to us
Strong portfolio with focus on UI & craft
Experience creating interfaces for Desktop using Figma
Proficient in Figma
Comfortable with motion basics (After Effects, Lottie, or similar)
Able to build and scale product experiences across the whole desktop app (onboarding to main inbox to settings)
Experience working with fast-paced product teams
Strong care for details and visual polish
Ability to iterate quickly based on feedback and changing needs
You can communicate in English, since that's our official language.
Most of the team also speaks Spanish and French.
