About Swiss Cyber Institute
The Swiss Cyber Institute, based in Zurich, is a registered education provider by the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI), specializing in cybersecurity, data, and AI. We empower individuals and organizations with comprehensive training programs, international conferences, and networking opportunities, supported by an industry-leading cybersecurity network and our annual Global Cyber Conference.
Role Description
We are looking for 4-6 highly motivated master’s students from Estonia and Finland to join our AI & Data Governance Fellowship program.
Over 12 months, fellows will:
- Conduct research on AI and data governance frameworks and emerging regulatory policies.
- Draft actionable policy recommendations for ethical and responsible AI development and deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts, institutions, and partners on best practices in AI and data governance.
- Participate in and organize webinars, workshops, and conferences relating to AI governance and data management.
- Contribute to designing and updating curricula, educational materials, and case studies.
- Write insightful reports, white papers, and articles for academic and public dissemination.
- Engage actively with stakeholders (academics, industry, policymakers, civil society) to promote trustworthy and inclusive AI governance.
- Support knowledge exchange across the Swiss Cyber Institute’s global community.

Qualifications
- Current master’s student (from Estonia/Finland) in a relevant field (AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Law, Policy, Ethics, or related)
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills
- Experience or knowledge in policy development and drafting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Track record of contributing to or organizing webinars/conferences is a plus
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Fluency in English; local languages are a plus
- Passion for building a resilient, ethical, and inclusive digital future
