We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Supply Chain Management to support critical defense programs. This role requires deep knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier development within the context of military and defense environments. The SME will lead initiatives to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance, ensuring readiness, resilience, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across defense systems lifecycles.
• Provide expert guidance on all aspects of defense supply chain operations, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and sustainment.
• Analyze supply chain performance and develop strategies to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of mission-critical materials and components.
• Lead the design and implementation of supply chain frameworks that align with program schedules, contractual requirements, and defense readiness objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, quality, and program management teams to synchronize supply chain activities.
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance, including audits, quality reviews, compliance with defense standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Suppo1t inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and lifecycle logistics planning for military platforms and systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and the Berry Amendment.
• Utilize ERP, MRP, and logistics systems to track and manage material flows and supply chain metrics.
• Advise on supply chain resilience, including contingency planning, cyber risk, and geopolitical sourcing concerns.
• Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership, program offices, and government customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain roles within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.
• Strong knowledge of DoD supply chain regulations, acquisition policies, and logistics frameworks.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), logistics tracking tools, and data analysis platforms.
• Demonstrated success in leading supply chain optimization and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CLTD, or PMP.
- Experience supporting major defense acquisition programs or international military logistics.
- Familiarity with NATO supply standards and global defense supply chain networks.
Experience with digital supply chain transfo1mation, including AI/ML-based forecasting and blockchain in logistics.
