About RISA Labs|
Cancer patients face not just a disease, but a broken system where delays in treatment are common due to outdated, error-prone workflows. RISA Labs is changing that with our Business Operating System as a Service (BOSS) - a powerful platform built for the vertical complexity of healthcare, that transforms healthcare operations. Unlike simple automation tools, BOSS breaks down complex workflows into small tasks, managed by smart AI agents like LLMs, digital twins, and reinforcement learners. This creates a digital workforce that doubles the efficiency of healthcare teams, letting a 1,000-person institution operate like it has 2,000 staff overnight.
Founders
RISA was founded by Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, IIT Kanpur alumni with a proven track record from their previous healthcare startup, Urban Health. Their vision is to streamline oncology care through cutting-edge technology.
Funding
RISA Labs is backed by $3.5 million in seed funding, led by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, with support from Oncology Ventures, General Catalyst, z21 Ventures, Odd Bird VC, and angel investor Ashish Gupta.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Designer who can blend creativity with problem-solving to design elegant, user-friendly solutions for complex problems. You’ll be responsible for crafting user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs that directly impact the way healthcare and service organizations interact with our platform. Your work will help simplify workflows for our users, enhance their experience, and ultimately contribute to better service delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the design and usability of an innovative AI platform in a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities
- User-Centered Design: Lead the design process for new features and product areas, ensuring that user needs and pain points are at the core of every design decision
- Wire framing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI designs that effectively communicate your design vision and allow for user testing and feedback
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and user researchers, to bring product features from concept to launch
- User Research: Participate in user research activities, including user interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate design decisions and inform future iterations
- Design Systems: Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency in visual design, user interaction patterns, and accessibility across the product
- Iterate & Improve: Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing, and team input to ensure the final product meets business goals and user needs
- Visual Design: Deliver high-fidelity visual designs and design assets that ensure a seamless and consistent user experience across all product touch points
- Problem-Solving: Translate complex service workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces that support users in critical, time-sensitive tasks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, Interaction Designer, or UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio that demonstrates your design process and impact
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, including research, usability testing, and design iteration
- Experience designing for complex products, particularly in SaaS, healthcare, or regulated industries (preferred)
- Strong understanding of design systems and creating scalable, reusable components
- Ability to collaborate with developers to ensure designs are accurately implemented and meet functional requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with product and engineering teams on a fast-paced schedule
- Bonus: Knowledge of accessibility standards and creating designs that are usable for diverse populations
