Software Engineer (React, TypeScript, Node)

£40,000-£45,000

Chester (Hybrid, 2 days a week in office)

You’ll be part of a leading ecommerce brand, a household name and a leader in training when you join this team. They’re growing again and looking for multiple Software Engineers with JavaScript experience to get stuck into greenfield projects, major cloud upgrades and constant improvements.

They get access to the latest tech and are looking for a mid-level engineer who is looking for that next step in their career. Their focus is scalability, clean code and keeping millions of customers happy. You’ll be paired with a senior developer or lead from day one and get a chance to work on their custom sites that power a top 10 FMCG tech team.

An ideal candidate would be someone interested in full stack work, open to being trained with around 1 to 3 years’ experience using a JavaScript stack.

Day to day:

• Working within a multi-disciplined team to deliver new enhancements and features
• Implementing improvements that support day-to-day Ecommerce trade
• Setup of A/B test campaigns and implement successful changes in core code base
• Development of microservices / campaign toolkits
• Working across the entire portfolio of sites
• Working with Commerce Cloud sites and apps (training provided)
• Contributing to planning, solution design, retrospectives and reviews

Skills required:

• Experience in React, TypeScript or Node
• Comfortable operating at mid-level
• Ideally an ecomm background
• Some AWS cloud experience
• Desire to learn and constantly improve.
