Your new role


As the Principal Software Engineer you’ll contribute to the development of a greenfield product that transforms the business banking experience. Working closely with a cross-functional team and Product Owner, you’ll help shape the technical direction of the platform, delivering high-quality software solutions that drive innovation and reduce risk.


You’ll be hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to work on strategic initiatives that have a real impact on customers and the broader business.


What you’ll need to succeed


  • Strong experience developing modern UI and backend-for-frontend (BFF) microservices using GraphQL and related technologies
  • Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as ReactJS and NextJS, and backend tools like NestJS, Apollo GraphQL, and Prisma ORM
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native development, ideally in AWS, with experience in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tools
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cline, Cursor, and AWS Bedrock
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on DevSecOps, SRE practices, and secure coding principles
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring junior engineers and uplifting engineering practices
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a natural ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Experience in the banking or financial services domain is highly regarded
