Position: Jira Configuration Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Jira Configuration Expert to support us in optimizing and tailoring a Jira environment. You will be responsible for the end-to-end configuration of Jira forms, workflows, integrations, and reporting to meet operational and business needs —including the setup of RCP (Resource Capacity Planning) functionality.

This is a hands-on role requiring technical depth, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of operational processes.

Responsabilities:

• Jira Configuration & Parametrization: Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and notification schemes based on business requirements.
• Jira Form Configuration: Design and implement dynamic forms using Jira’s native capabilities or relevant apps (e.g., Jira Service Management, ProForma).
• API Setup & Data Integration: Integrate Jira with external systems and databases via REST APIs; support automation workflows and two-way syncing.
• RCP Functionality Configuration: Set up and fine-tune Resource Capacity Planning features to monitor workloads, assign capacity, and support planning decisions.
• Data Modeling & Label Standardization: Establish data structures, taxonomies, and label conventions to ensure consistency and clean reporting.
• Dashboard Creation: Build intuitive, real-time dashboards and reports for different user groups (operations, management, tech teams).
• Testing, Iteration & Launch: Conduct thorough testing, gather user feedback, and iterate on the configuration before full deployment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Jira administration, configuration, and automation.
• Knowledge of RCP tools within Jira or external plugins for capacity/resource management.
• Familiarity with Jira Service Management, Atlassian Marketplace apps, and scripting tools (e.g., ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira).
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and data integration principles.
• Experience in data modeling, metadata/label governance, and taxonomy design.
• Ability to create user-friendly dashboards and analytics for diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience in change management and user adoption strategies.

• Background in process optimization or agile project management.

• Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-400, etc.).
