Freelance Cybersecurity Project Manager – Operations
We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Project Manager (Freelance) to support the operational rollout of a cybersecurity roadmap for a major organization in Belgium.
Daily rate: 600€ excl. VAT
Your mission
As Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will:
- Translate the cybersecurity roadmap into actionable operational plans for infrastructure and IT operations teams.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of security measures (hardening, patching, monitoring, IAM, vulnerability management, etc.).
- Plan, prioritize, and track progress, ensuring cybersecurity requirements are integrated into ongoing projects and system maintenance.
- Identify resource and skills gaps, proposing solutions (training, reinforcements, dedicated teams).
- Act as the key operational security contact for infrastructure and support teams.
- Deliver execution schedules, progress reports, and operational dashboards.
- Contribute to NIS2 compliance preparation by bridging strategic goals with technical execution.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, with proven experience in technical project management and/or cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of operational IT environments (systems, networks, identities, endpoints, cloud, monitoring).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity practices and NIS2 requirements.
- Skilled in planning, prioritization, and transversal coordination within complex environments.
- Analytical, structured, and results-driven.
- Strong communicator, able to work with both technical experts and business stakeholders.
- Fluent in French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Practical details
- Location: Namur (onsite presence required, with potential travel across Wallonia).
- Workload: Full-time, 8h per day.
- Telework: Up to 2 fixed days per week (not Monday or Thursday).
- Working hours aligned with internal teams (presence required between 9h–11h45 and 14h–16h).
