Your Responsibilities
In this role your main accountabilities will be:
- Immerse yourself in the world of cyber security by constantly monitoring and evaluating information from a wide range of sources. Stay one step ahead of potential threats by keeping a close eye on both direct and indirect sources of information. Dive into the intricate web of cyber security data and use your analytical skills to protect against potential risks
- Analyze and contextualize technical severity and applicability of potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Develop both technical and practical understanding in order to effectively mitigate and address them
- Support and ensure transfer of vulnerability knowledge into the engineering processes
- Collaborate closely with the testing department to develop a comprehensive strategy for formalizing and automating vulnerability scanning processes
- You will examine and evaluate software transition requests and exceptions to policy. It will be a chance to analyze in detail the various requests and assess their impact on company operations. Additionally, you will be able to review existing procedures and identify potential improvements to ensure a smooth transition and compliance with company policies. Whether it is identifying critical points or proposing innovative solutions, this activity will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate our expertise and ability to make informed decisions.
- Assessing and improving cyber security requirements, design proposals, and implementations involves a comprehensive and ongoing evaluation of a company's security measures to identify vulnerabilities and address weaknesses. This process includes reviewing existing security protocols, analyzing potential threats, and developing strategies to enhance overall cyber security. By continuously monitoring and enhancing security measures, we will be able to better protect our data, systems, and networks from cyber threats and attacks
- Work with suppliers to ensure that cyber security process interfaces are agreed and managed for the whole lifecycle of products
- You have a technical background, ideally a degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Software, Telecommunication, Electrical)
- Proven track record of success in previous similar roles (at least 2-3 yesrs)
- Knowledge of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) as standard way to assess and rate the severity of software vulnerabilities
- Very good knowledge of English and, preferably, Italian
- Experience with implementing and maintaining 62443 security standards, and understanding of the principles and requirements outlined in it will be considered a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across different locations together with leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members
