Data collection test engineer

Responsibilities

The department is developing a solution that will allow data to be collected from customer vehicles in a sustainable, personal, and safe way. It also creates measurement assignments to collect data from ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) in the car. Other responsibilities include: Data Collection System Product Function, Product Capability and Customer Function.

In your role as a data collection test engineer, you are a shared service to several agile teams.

Knowledge/Experience

To be right for this role we believe that you have a Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Electronics Engineering or similar. You have years of experience as embedded software technical development and test, experience with in-vehicle communication like UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and XCP (Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol), and you have good knowledge of Cloud applications and TCP/IP communication. Some coding experience in Golang, C++, Python and good understanding of vehicle electrical and electronics topology is a plus

You have an eye for details, have a structured way of working and are not afraid of complex systems. You have good people skills to talk to responsible domain and able to communicate freely with people. You have experience in requirement handling, analytical skills, and are always curious to ask questions by having a critical mind. You can translate customers' needs from an unclear description into achievable and realistic technical specification.

You should know about software integration; you also own the CI/CD pipeline. You should be able to write test cases for system integration.
