Job Description

We are developing a GenAI-powered kids’ video application that combines interactive experiences, media rendering, and secure backend services. This solution will empower families by giving them tools to create personalized and meaningful digital content in a safe environment.


We’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our project team.


It is important to emphasize that this is a full-time and hybrid (not 100% remote) position. Please consider this and respond accordingly.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain the mobile app frontend using React Native
  • Develop lightweight backend services (user accounts, sessions, in-app purchases)
  • Integrate with proprietary video and media APIs
  • Implement analytics and event tracking (Mixpanel, AppsFlyer)
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with PM, QA, and design to deliver on a milestone-based plan


Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a back-end/full-stack engineer.
  • Prior experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Proven experience with React Native (apps published on App Store / Google Play)
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Backend experience (Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks)
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and authentication flows
  • Understanding of secure coding practices (OAuth2, token handling, data privacy)
  • Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or similar is highly desired.
  • Solid understanding of OOP principles.
  • Experience with modern backend and frontend web development stacks. Some of the tools we use include (Javascript / Node.js, TypeScript, React and React Native, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience using Git and code reviews
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent degree.
  • Bonus: Experience with video streaming/processing, Firebase/GCP, or analytics SDKs


Also Important:

  • An eye for visual design.
  • Applies principles of continuous learning, mentoring others, and embraces feedback.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers, designers and artists.

  • Technical Interview (1.5 hrs): Deep dive into your experiences, plus a live coding exercise.
  • Final Interview (30 min): Meet with a cross-functional Otsimo team to discuss your past work and career goals.
