Job Requirements – 2D Game Artist (Unity)

Core Skills
• Strong experience in creating 2D game assets (characters, environments, props, UI elements, effects).
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Krita, Clip Studio Paint).
• Hands-on experience with Spine or Unity’s 2D animation framework for skeletal animation and rigging.
• Ability to implement and adjust art directly within Unity, including sprite importing, atlasing, animation setup, and scene composition.
Game Development Focus
• Prior experience working on 2D games (preferably casual or mobile titles).
• Understanding of art optimisation for performance and memory usage on mobile devices (sprite packing, resolution scaling, etc.).
• Ability to collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of assets into Unity projects.
Time commitment:
• Minimum 4 hours/day (part-time or full-time); immediate joiners preferred.
• Proficiency with Photoshop
Additional Expectations
• Follow the style guide of the organization.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to speed up the art creation for mainstream and prototyping.
• Strong sense of visual style, color, and composition suited for game aesthetics.
• Awareness of different screen resolutions, aspect ratios, and mobile format constraints.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in sync with designers and Unity developers.
• Familiarity with agile workflows, version control (Git), and feedback cycles in a game development environment is a plus.

• Exposure on Figma/Canva would be helpful
• Experience with UX concepts is an added advantage.
