Senior Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer (Contract)

Location: Central London - Hybrid

Contract: 6 Month Initial + Further Extensions

We are seeking multiple experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineers to support a greenfield programme within leading global insurance firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in the migration of application services into a newly established Azure landing zone, ensuring robust infrastructure and CI/CD practices are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in an Azure environment
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
• Containerise services to improve scalability and resilience
• Lead the migration of App Services from legacy Azure subscriptions to a new landing zone
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed best practice DevOps approaches

Skills & Experience:

• Proven, hands-on Terraform IaC experience (Azure focus preferred)
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML scripting)
• Demonstrated expertise in containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior experience in large-scale cloud migration projects (Azure landing zone experience highly desirable)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within a programme team
