Who We Are Looking For

We’re seeking a creative and self-motivated Python Developer/Engineer to join a large-scale re-platforming initiative, part of a 2-year transformation program. You’ll help build secure, scalable systems using modern technologies. The client delivers API-based data products and operates on a cloud-native infrastructure, with a strong focus on data integrity and continuous improvement.

Start: Immediate

Where: Melbourne CBD

Employment Type: Max Term - 6-month initial term, with potential to extend

Style: Hybrid; 2-3 days a week in the office

Salary: up to $170 pkg (inc super)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and AWS Lambda
• Contribute to the design and implementation of public-facing APIs (REST & SOAP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions
• Support integration with legacy systems and OAuth2 implementations
• Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Professional experience with Python
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS (Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB)
• Experience with Typescript is a plus
• Exposure to building and maintaining public APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
