Jetpacks! is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our LatAm team. In this role, you’ll help build and support scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you’ll be a key player in designing, automating, and supporting scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. Your work will empower development teams to move quickly, reliably, and safely.

Role responsibilities

You’ll be working for an industry leader in first-and-last mile delivery services with over 4.5 million customers! Due to the growth of our partner’s delivery services their tech team and systems have continued to expand and need to scale.

What tasks will you need to complete to be successful?

• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP.
• Provision and manage resources using Terraform.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable deployments.
• Automate cloud operations with custom scripts and reusable modules.
• Monitor, log, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve deployment workflows.
• Ensure compliance, security, and auditability across environments.
• Write scripts to automate recurring tasks and improve developer experience.

How will you be supported?

You'll be onboarded to the tech team organization. You will be part of a team and will communicate with them via Slack and Google Meet. Periodic 1-on-1 meetings will be held to ensure you are successful and are having a productive and enjoyable experience.

Role Requirements

We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Jetpacks!. That's why we've outlined the job requirements below. To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Minimum Qualifications. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE role.
• Hands-on experience with GCP in production environments.
• Strong expertise with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills.
• Familiar with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of security, networking, and monitoring best practices.
• Agile development environment experience.
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional DevOps Engineer certification (or equivalent).
• Experience deploying and supporting microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the DevOps landscape.
