Role Overview
This is a Technical Project Manager position within the Safety and Building Management Systems (BMS) team. The focus is on leading IT-driven building projects that involve fire detection, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, networks, and parking equipment
The Project Manager works directly with customers to make sure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with security policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1.Project Initiation & Planning
- Define high-level scope, budget, and timeline.
- Validate solutions and cost estimates with experts.
- Translate customer security needs into proposals (e.g., cameras, access control, fire systems).
2.Execution & Governance
- Lead project kick-offs and ensure detailed plans are communicated.
- Track progress, risks, costs, and resources.
- Manage change requests and escalate issues when needed.
- Coordinate between internal and external teams.
3.Communication & Reporting
- Keep business stakeholders updated regularly.
- Provide monthly progress and financial reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer at project closure.
4.Framework Contracts & Vendor Management
- Write technical specs for contracts.
- Evaluate supplier offers and make selections.
- Monitor the market for new safety/security technologies.
5.Support & Problem Resolution
- Provide third-line support for escalations.
- Analyze incidents and drive resolutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of BMS applications, studies, budgets, and contracts.
- Public sector experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with methodologies: PM², PMBOK, Prince2, ITIL.
- Certifications like BA4, BA5, VCA are a plus.
- Language: Fluent in Dutch or French, good in the other, and very good English.
