Cosmic Lounge is looking for a talented 3D Artist with a strong focus on character design, 3D modeling and implementation to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll help shape the vibrant personalities and detailed environments that bring our puzzle game Pets & Puzzles to life, creating memorable experiences for players.

You’ll work closely with fellow artists and designers to craft expressive 3D characters from concept to model, including sculpting, retopology, texturing, and integrating assets seamlessly into Unity. Your contributions will be vital throughout our iterative development process, refining designs based on team and player feedback to ensure our assets resonate with audiences.

Location: Helsinki, Finland (On-site, no relocation assistance)

Your Role:

• Designing wonderful and lively 3D characters, including a variety of animals such as dogs and cats.
• Performing retopology and creating high-quality materials to ensure optimal performance and visual fidelity.
• Seamlessly integrating character and object assets into Unity, maintaining consistency and polish across the game.
• Working closely with a 3D animator and technical artists to ensure smooth integration, performance, and visual quality.

Required Skills:

• A keen eye for colors, shapes, and appealing character and object designs.
• Experience modeling quadruped animals, such as dogs and cats.
• Ability to quickly sketch and communicate ideas to the team.
• Crafting high-quality art assets that can compete with industry leaders.
• Willingness to create alternative solutions and iterate to find the best fit.
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of ZBrush.
• Strong knowledge of Substance Painter and Designer.
• Strong proficiency with prevalent 3D packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, etc.).
• Knowledge of asset optimization.
• Unity know-how.
