About PolicyMate

PolicyMate is building AI for public affairs—how businesses and organisations track and influence government decisions. What we’re working on will completely reshape a 70 billion dollar industry and help change the very nature of work. And we need awesome people to help us.

We’re looking for a rockstar engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to our CTO, Grégoire, you’ll help build, refine, and maintain core features and work with the full team at the cutting-edge of AI.

We’re early-stage: we move fast and learn fast. You’ll be encouraged to experiment and build, to try stuff, figure out what works, and run with it.

As a team, we’re at our happiest when we’re building and solving problems. We love working with people who want responsibility, who crave new challenges, and thrive in environments where there’s never-ending list of things to do.

If that sounds like you, then reach out!

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain a TALL stack app (Tailwind 4, Alpine.js, Laravel 12, Livewire 3) with eloquent, queues/jobs/events, caching, etc.
  • Integrate external services using Saloon; build ETL-style workflows and AI-powered automations.
  • Write pragmatic tests with Pest 4; keep code clean, typed, and documented.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to translate product requirements into well-designed technical solutions.
  • Participate in a tight release loop: small PRs, fast feedback, visible impact.

What you bring

  • 1–5 years of experience with Laravel (side projects and internships count if solid!). Bonus point if you’re an open-source contributor.
  • Good grasp of Eloquent, migrations, queues, and testing.
  • Curiosity and ownership: you read docs, ask questions, and take features to completion.
  • Clear, concise communication and a habit of leaving code better than you found it.
  • Comfort with asynchronous collaboration and startup pace; you think independently and excel at solving problems.
  • Reliable and communicative; you meet deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Livewire, Filament, Saloon, Redis, PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM APIs or data pipelines.
  • Part of the Laravel ecosystem (read blog posts, follow Laracon broadcasts, etc.).
  • Interest in public policy, lawmaking, or civic tech (bonus).

How we work

  • Hybrid: typically 2–3 days/week at EuraTechnologies; remote the rest.
  • Iteration: small, frequent releases.
  • Mentorship: pair sessions and thoughtful reviews—great environment to level up on a modern stack.

Benefits

  • Salary: €35k–€45k gross / year.
  • Great health insurance: Alan Blue, 100% employer-covered.
  • Transport: 50% public transit reimbursement; bike-friendly office.
  • Team: Regular team days at EuraTechnologies and occasional offsite.
  • Gear: Recent MacBook + external display and peripherals.
  • Learning: Annual budget for books, courses, and conferences.
