- Design & Build Resilient Systems Design, implement and optimize our backend services on Heroku/AWS with a focus on performance, security and scalability.
- Solve High-Impact Challenges Analyze complex problems and deliver smart solutions whose results are immediately visible—directly enhancing the reliability and efficiency of Europe’s energy grids.
- Refine & Extend Architecture Improve existing modules, develop new features, and champion clean, modular architecture across the codebase.
- Own End-to-End Delivery Work onsite-first in a tight-knit, cross-functional team – taking full ownership from infrastructure and deployment through to monitoring and maintenance.
- Ensure Code Excellence Write comprehensive tests, lead constructive code reviews, and evangelize clean, maintainable code – helping shape our culture of continuous learning and qualit
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in developing scalable backend systems. We mainly use Python/FastAPI, but welcome experienced developers from all tech stacks.
- Knowledge of databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/InfluxDB), cloud technologies (Heroku/AWS), devops, and related technologies is a plus
- Passion for clean code, automated testing, and performance optimization
- Motivation to work in a small, cross-functional team and proactively tackle challenges
- Ideally, an interest in energy management, sustainability, or optimization algorithms
