About the Role

We’re working with a global leader in entertainment who are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their ML team - Specifically within Recommenders and Personalisation.

You’ll play a key role in building large-scale machine learning models that personalise digital experiences for millions of users worldwide.

In this role, you’ll design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge ML and deep learning systems in areas such as search retrieval, ranking, recommendation engines, and content personalisation. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and business teams to deliver impactful ML-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop recommendation systems, search retrieval, ranking, and content personalisation models.
• Drive projects from conception to production, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and business.
• Design A/B testing frameworks and create metrics to evaluate model performance.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data (text, audio, etc.) using modern big data tools.
• Contribute to ML/AI strategy, influencing technology direction and product roadmaps.

What We’re Looking For

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science with a focus on ML.
• Building personalised search or recommendation systems.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale ML products in industry.
• Strong experience in search retrieval, ranking, and recommendation systems.
• Proficiency in Python (plus Scala/Java desirable) and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLlib.
• Solid experience in A/B testing and evaluation of ML systems.
• Experience with cloud-based ML development (AWS preferred).
• Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex ML concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, Tecton, or similar ML platforms.
• Large-scale DL training/inference optimisation.
