Cyber Security Specialist – Irish Fintech | Dublin / Hybrid
Location: Dublin City Center - Onsite.
Type: Permanent
Salary: €70,000
As Security Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our platform and operations meet the highest standards of regulatory, security, and operational excellence. This role suits someone comfortable acting as both an individual contributor and collaborative partner across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Efficiency
- Implement automation tools for monitoring and reporting (e.g. SIEM, GRC platforms, scripting)
- Identify and streamline compliance processes using modern technologies
- Embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) alongside Engineering teams
Risk & Incident Management
- Perform risk assessments and drive mitigation efforts
- Monitor and escalate key compliance/security risks
- Support incident response processes and post-incident analysis
Stakeholder Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Product
- Present security and compliance requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in client and regulator audits, providing clear documentation and evidence
Compliance Frameworks
- Lead ISO 27001 implementation, audits, and continuous improvement
- Maintain compliance with GDPR and financial regulations
- Develop and maintain internal security and compliance policies
Requirements
- Experience: 3 years+ in security and compliance roles, preferably in fintech or banking
- Automation: Experience with automation tools for compliance/security (e.g. SIEM, GRC platforms, scripting)
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud security, DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and internal IT systems
- Delivery & Accountability: Demonstrated ownership of projects and outcomes, both individually and as part of a team. Strong bias for action
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Education & Certifications: Degree in a relevant field; ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor certification preferred
- Compatent in NIST would be an advantage
