Victor Buck Services, is an innovative and dynamic PSF company, leader in its field. We are currently looking for a Junior Network and Security System Administrator.

You will have an important role by ensuring that the Network and Security devices are reliable, efficient, secured and aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. You will support the team by improving the company’s IT network and Security to operate and maintain operational excellence for Network and Security systems.

As member of the IT Infrastructure, you will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager.

You Will Be In Charge Of

  • Assist in the management of servers Network and Security;
  • Support on configuration and management of all network hardware and equipment (including firewalls, routers, switches, WIFI and UPS);
  • Develop and ensure security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems;
  • Develop, document and maintain procedures in line with the organization’s standards;
  • Support the network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information;
  • Support on installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and security hardware, software and solutions;
  • Deploy and maintain solutions on technologies such as Extreme Networks devices, Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls;
  • Assist in monitoring, testing network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports;
  • Supporting the administration of equipment, hardware and software upgrades;
  • Perform system backups and recovery;
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, authorizations and access rights.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Need

  • A Bac +2/+3 in IT field or any relevant academic background.
  • Minimum of a first relevant professional experience in Network and Security Administration (IT, Industrial company, Service provider, Big 4 / Audit).
  • A good knowledge of routing, DNS, IPS/IDS, network hardware, protocols and standards. The knowledge of Extreme Networks devices, Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls would be considered as a strong asset.
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required; proficiency in French is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative and team spirit.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
