IntervAI is an early-stage B2B SaaS startup based in Vienna, building an AI-powered recruitment platform that automates early-stage candidate screening and structured interview evaluations. We help companies reach 3× more candidates, 5× faster — while reducing bias and hiring cost.

We’re now looking for a highly motivated AI Research Intern to join our team and help us shape the future of intelligent hiring.

🌱 What You’ll Work On

You will directly contribute to core AI processes in our product:

• Resume evaluation & gap analysis


• AI-conducted interviews (text-based)


• Post-interview scoring & feedback generation

We are deeply integrated with large language models (LLMs), and you’ll explore areas like:

• Prompt design and optimization


• Finetuning or adapting open-source models for specific tasks


• Designing evaluation rubrics


• Benchmarking models (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.)


• Exploring agent-based orchestration with Langchain or similar tools

This is not a theoretical internship. You'll contribute real research, produce documentation, and shape decisions for an actual product in use by real recruiters and candidates.

🔍 Who We’re Looking For

• You’re a student or recent graduate in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or similar


• You’ve worked with or studied LLMs and NLP systems before


• You’re curious, self-driven, and excited about AI applications in the real world


• Strong written communication skills (in English) – you’ll document findings clearly


• Experience with OpenAI, HuggingFace, Langchain or similar tools is a plus


• Interest in HR tech and responsible AI is a bonus

🕓 Time Commitment

• ~10–15 hours per week


• 100% remote, or hybrid if you’re based in Vienna


• Internship duration: 12 weeks, with potential for extension
