PURPOSE OF POSITION
The IT Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for resolving all user technical issues within the head office and clinics. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, with hands-on experience in windows operating system , Office 365 administration, and basic networking. The IT Specialist will travel frequently (30%) to provide on-site support at various clinic locations, ensuring systems run smoothly and users receive exceptional support and training.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Technical Support
- Provide first- and second-level support for IT-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems.
- Troubleshoot and support VoIP systems such as Avaya and Cisco.
- Respond to IT help desk requests, track support tickets, and ensure timely resolution with high user satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate incident and service request records in a ticketing system, keeping users informed of ticket status.
- Manage the IT help desk, ensuring requests are logged, categorized, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.
- Handle first-line support and escalate complex issues to second-line support when required.
- Provide timely updates to users regarding progress and resolution of their requests.
- Administer and maintain users and groups within Active Directory, ensuring proper access and permissions.
- Support AD user lifecycle management, policy configuration, and integration.
- Leverage Microsoft 365 features (E5/E3, e.g., Entra ID; or F3 for frontline support) for secure and efficient operations.
- Deploy PCs using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune for standardized setup and configuration.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including patch and update installation to maintain performance and security.
- Install and configure operating systems (Windows or Linux).
- Assist with setup and maintenance of hardware such as printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Provide first-line support for daily user needs, including account setup, application assistance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage user access, including password resets and permissions.
- Support network operations by troubleshooting connectivity and maintaining endpoint security protocols such as antivirus.
- Document support issues, system configurations, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
- Log and track all incidents through the IT service management system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level teams or vendors when needed.
- Ensure timely resolution and clear communication with users throughout the process.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiar with ticketing systems, remote troubleshooting tools, and basic network security best practices.
Minimum of 2 years in an IT Specialist, help desk, or equivalent role.
Languages:
Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
IT Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Windows 11, Active Directory, Office 365).
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow technical manuals and complex instructions.
- Skilled in operating standard office equipment (computers, printers, copiers).
- Service-oriented, reliable, flexible, open-minded, and a strong team player.
