Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Software Engineer in New York, New York

Design, develop, and maintain applications used by internal business units. Meet with clients to gather and analyze requirements. Make system design decisions, evaluating, integrating, and developing necessary software, before testing and deploying applications into production. Develop high-performing, low-latency electronic trading systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $138,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Front-End Web Developer, Technology Analyst, or a related role. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Web development; Angular; HTML5; CSS; JavaScript; Typescript; Node.js; Java; Kotlin; Python; SQL; MySQL; DB2; JDBC; JPA; Microservices; Package management; NPM; PIP; Code versioning using Git; GitHub; BitBucket; Unix shell scripting; Test automation; Junit; DevOps; Jenkins; Agile development; Jira; Object-oriented design; Multi-threading; RESTful API; Spring; Spring Boot; Maven; Gradle; IntelliJ; VS Code; and Postman. Requires two (2) years of experience with: MongoDB; Camunda 7 and 8; and Docker.
